Norma Lupton sweeps the competition at 2011 Mid-Island
Photo Expo Ladysmith, BC, CANADA:
The Ladysmith Camera Club, in conjunction with the Arts Council of Ladysmith
and District, announced the winners of the 2011 Mid-Island Photo Expo at
a gala opening ceremony held Saturday, November 5 at the Ladysmith Waterfront
Art Gallery attended by over 130 people.
Sweeping the competition with half of the eight awards was Norma Lupton,
a gifted artist from Nanaimo. Norma took the first and second place prizes
in the black-and-white category for her images Lake Tana Boatman and Cones
& Cornflowers respectively. More significantly, she also won both the coveted
"Peoples' Choice" and "Best In Show" awards for her evocative image Alone
Again.
